Decoding Maharishi...

The men who dared to go beyond their capacity to seek perennial depth of knowledge.

They were the men who dared to take great challenge & go beyond the broad spectrum of knowing Universe.

They lived many millenniums only to perceive deep secrets of  the Universe and pass it to future generations for the benefit of mankind.

They were legends who composed the great Vedas and the Upanishads.

Their will power, sacrifice, dedication made our great nation.

They were the epitome of civilization.

THEY WERE THE GREAT MAHARISHIS.....

This holy land has been the land of Rishis and Maharishis (Great Rishi amongst Rishis) who have been the guide, inspiration, strength of a civilization. Our nation boasts of a great history, with an infinity of legend that no nation in the world possess, our Great Nation Bharat Mata and its architects have been Great Maharishis.

In each and every Mythological event of our history, they have played a major role, they were widely revered not only by people but by kings and emperors alike, whenever the nation faced complex problem, Kings or Emperor used to go in search of Maharishi with advice from ministers to seek their noble guidance and solution to the problem.

We had plenty of Rishis and Maharishis in the past, and its mainly because of sacrifice and dedication of these noble souls, that our nation had a vibrant civilization, with the course of time it mastered various fields of Maths, Geography, Algebra, Geometry, Astronomy, Ayurveda, Arts, Literature, Music, Dance, Chemistry, Biology, Quantum Physics, Yoga, Meditation, Architecture, Engineering etc. The knowledge they gave us were precise and with hardly any variations even though many millenniums have passed by.

Santana Dharma generally known as Hinduism, have the three main Gods, Brahma as the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver and Shiva as the Destroyer followed by the seven Maharishi and the 33 Gods, its a wrong assumption that we had 330 million gods, rather the allegory behind 33 gods is that it represents 33 elements. Such was the great prominence given to the maharishis, the Seven great Rishis (Saptarishi) who were given the divine knowledge by Great Lord amongst the trio of gods the destroyer Shiva. Also Seven Rishi represent the Big Dipper which can be seen on the North Pole.

In Hindu astronomy the seven stars of the Saptarshi Mandal or Big Dipper or Ursa Major are named as

Kratu        Pulaha,        Pulastya,      Atri,         Angiras,     Vasishtha,        Bhrigu

The legend behind the Seven Star Constellation goes like this:

King Uttanapada had two wives, Suniti and Suruchi. Elder Queen Suniti was kind, and had a son by the name of Druv. The younger queen Suruchi was very beautiful and had a son by the name of Uttama.

As per royal tradition, Suruchi was afraid Prince Dhruv would become king. The King had more attachment towards Quen Suruchi for her dazzling beauty. Once Dhruv saw his younger brother Uttama sitting on his father’s lap, little Dhruv requested his father to  give him a seat on his lap too, pretty soon the king was sitting with both boys on his lap.

This angered Suruchi who screamed and made Dhruv get down from the king’s lap, the little child ran towards his mother in tears narrated what happened. In desperation he asked his mother “ Is anybody more important and stronger than the king?”

Suneeti told little Dhruv after holding back his tears that Lord Vishnu is more powerful, who lives in those mountains ”. At night Dhruv walked towards the mountains, there he met Sage Narada and asked for advise. Narad Muni advised Dhruv that he is young and even great sages have not achieved the Almighty..."

Realizing Dhruv's determination, Sage Narada asked him to chant the supreme mantra: "Om Namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaaya". Dhruv started meditating, drinking only water from the Yamuna river. He released so much energy that the Saptarishis  ( 7 sages ) got disturbed from their meditation.

They discussed among themselves and came to an unanimous conclusion that only god can create such tremendous energy. They decided to investigate and were very surprised to see a small child in deep meditation. This meditation worried King of Gods Indra to much as his throne in the heavens was in danger of getting usurped. He tried his best to disturb the little boy but was protected by the seven sages and Dhruv could not be disturbed, so great was his concentration. Ultimately Vishnu appeared in front of the little boy knwing that he did the penence for not getting to sit on his fater's lap. Vishnu placed Dhruv as the Pole Star, also known as North Star and placed the seven rishis to protect him.

The great dipper keeps revolving around the north star and if you observe it carefully it represents our swastika symbol too.

These Saptarishis (seven sages) were the seven mind born sons of Brahma. They live for a period of time known as a manvantar (306,720,000 Earth Years). During this period of time they serve as representatives of Lord Brahma.

Saptarishis occupy a position higher than that of all other devatas (Gods). There are other classifications of Rishis, the major classifications are Brahmarishi, Maharishi and Rajarishi

Brahmarishi :-

All the Saptarishis are Brahmarishis. The Brahmarishis are the highest class of Rishis who have understood the meaning of Brahman (Supreme Lord). Usually, one cannot rise to the level of a Brahmarishi through merit alone. Since the order was created divinely and is appointed by Lord Brahma.

However, Vishwamitra rose to the position of a Brahmarishi through his own merit alone. He performed meditation and austerities ( tapasya ) for tens of thousands of years and as a result he was awarded the rank of Brahmarishi by Brahma himself. Saptarishis are greater than even the devatas in power and piety.

Brahmarishis are capable to defeating all human and magical weapons. They are not influenced by the material world and the cycle of life and death or karma. They are considered as those who have understood the meaning of life and all the mysteries of creation.

Maharishi :-

Maharishi means 'great sage' in Sanskrit and refers to one who has great expanded and refined senses. Their third eye ( Pineal Gland ) is completely open and possess a supreme quality of perception by which their intuition is used to its fullest capacity. Their attention and focus encompasses the entire universe and yet they can still maintain incredibly precise detail in actions and thoughts.

Rajarishi :-

Rajarishi means 'royal sage' in Sanskrit. It refers to one who is a king or a prince as well as a sage. A Rajarishi may have left the kingship and became a Rishi such as Vishwamitra, Bhagirath etc.

From the Saptarishi came the Gotra System by which marriage was arranged between couple belonging to a different lineage, what Gotra means shall be explained later, but with the course of time the nation was blessed with many Great Maharishis like Agastya, Kapila, Kashyapa, Kanad, Vishwamitra, Dadheechi, Markandeya, Mareechi, Jamadagni, Durvasa, Valmiki, Vedavyasa, Patanjali, Gautama, Yajnavalkya, Sushruta, Charaka, and many more though many of these maharishis belonged to the saptarishi lineage.

There are several notable female rishikas who contributed to the composition of the Vedic scriptures. The Rig Veda mentions Romasha, Lopamudra, Apala, Kadru, Visvavara, Ghosha, Juhu, Vagambhrini, Paulomi, Yami, Indrani, Savitri, and Devajami. The Sama Veda adds Nodha, Akrishtabhasha, Sikatanivavari and Gaupayana.

Some of them belonged to the Kshatriya (Warrior) clan like Maharishi Vishwamitra was a king and later became one of the greatest Maharishi of all time, is also credited for giving the World 'GAYATRI MANTRA' went on to become Bramharishi. His life was a legend and inspiration to many of the coming generation. Maharishi Veda Vyasa who was born to Rishi Parashar and a fisher woman Satyavati wrote the great epic Mahabharata and also for his great works on documenting our great Vedas in 4 different categories was given the title Veda Vyasa. Maharishi Valmiki who was born to a low cast as a hunter and a natorious robber wrote World's fist poem and the great legend Ramayana. Maharishi Charaka belonged to the family of scavengers was one of the main pillars of Ayurveda and wrote Charaka Samhita which is used by ayurvedic practitioners till date.

From this we can realize that it was not necessary that one needed be born in the lineage of Saptarishi,or from a Intellectual family, but any body that be a warrior or even a person born to a poor family or a low cast can become Maharishi if he had the dedication, determination and discipline that was guided by a clear conscience and realization that he had utmost faith in Supreme Lord, surrendering himself completely to the lord became Maharishi.

Difference between Rishi and Maharishi?

Maharishis graduated themselves from Rishi status, they dedicated their life with a determination to acquire ultimate knowledge of the cosmos that can benefit of mankind by the way of taking penance and deep meditation also known as Tapasya, lived an ascetic life moved to deep forest or in the Himalayas and focused on meditation remembering the Supreme Being. They kept meditating for many years and years together for centuries and millenniums for the sake and benefit of Dharma and Mankind, getting impressed with their penance and dedication they were blessed by the Supreme Being (Brahman) and attained the knowledge they desired with which they got the title of Maharishi.

So this would be rather confusing for the present age to believe as its difficult to survive 100 years, how one could survive for a millennium and more and certainly is quiet strange, but the fact is the Rishis and Maharishis of those days were the divine men with Raised Kundalini and an activated King Sized Pineal Gland by which they could live longer as per their will. A rishi on the other hand were men with great morals who sacrificed worldly pleasures of life though but they were attached to the society by setting an Ashram (Hermitage) by the river banks or in the forest and became Guru (Teachers) who educated pupils in their ashram, else they were scholars in their respective fields of Astronomy, Astrology, Maths, Ayurveda, Vastu Shastra, Economy, Politics, Agriculture, Geography, Science, Arts, Music, Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Quantum Physics, Cosmology and much more. The Rishis were the main contributors to Upanishads which they acquired from their gurus who were Maharishis or Rishis with high status who composed the Great Vedas. Even the Rishis were highly revered by people & the King and along with Maharishis, they too have played a major role in their contribution to various fields.

Kundalini:

There are 7 chakras situated at different vertical positions of our body, the Kundalini is a three and a half coiled serpent sleeping at the base of Mooladhara Chakra of our body. When the Kundalini is activated via the two Nadis Ida and Pingala, the Kundalini elevates from Mooladhara to the next chakra, as the Kundalini travels to the uppermost Chakra i.e. the Shasrara the person becomes liberated from the cycle of birth and rebirth and attains Moksha. Kundalini activation is activating the Mobious Coil of your body.

The person with an activated Kundalini becomes highly perceptive and can see complex problems as fractal geometry. Raising the Kundalini  can be equated with the awakening of the silent areas of the brain and can access aakashik (Cosmology) records. The mind attains supreme awareness, enlightenment and self realization.

With awakened consciousness the person can make accurate decisions and judgments because awakened Kundalini is a process of jumping out of the mind. There is a great explosion which transports the person into another plane of being .

The person with activated Kundalini has an ultimate experience of Life, he experiences the greatest height and depth of God's being surrounded by an infinite eternal river of bliss. Space and time lose their rigidity, and there is a mingling of the past, the present, and the future. Activated Chakras in that person can send out information carrying Soliton waves, which do not attenuate. The person has exploded into a space of consciousness in which inner awareness is spontaneous.

Cosmic consciousness is an intellectual enlightenment or illumination, an indescribable state of moral and intellectual elevation, a feeling of amazing bliss. The Divine wisdom in the person enables his consciousness to pick up and become aware of super physical forces and phenomena.

If you want a glimpse of what Kundalini activation is, a 1% feel of it, then please meet this female and Hug Her, you shall know what it means.

Mata Amritanandamayi.

A PERSON WITH AN ACTIVATED KUNDALINI CAN DECIDE AT WILL TO LEAVE HIS MORTAL BODY. Hence they lived many millenniums.

AWAKENING AND RAISING KUNDALINI AFTER 21ST DEC 2012- CAPT AJIT VADAKAYIL

The Pineal Gland:

With an activated Kundalini the sages were gifted with an activated Pineal gland too. An activated Pineal Gland becomes third eye in between the eyebrows, the vertical third eye of Lord Shiva represents an activated Pineal Gland.

What's more important to know is the Shiva Lingam we worship in a temple is not Shiva's Penis as it was poison injected by immoral British in our religious texts to make Hindus self loathing and convert to Christianity. The Shiva Lingam symbolizes the pineal gland of the Lord. Had it been Shiv's Penis then it would have been known as Shiva Shishnam as penis is known so in Sanskrit.  The Word 'Lingam' means Symbol and the Shiva Lingam symbolizes your pineal gland, that signifies that this gland the topmost significant part of your body that can have the capability of elevating from a mere Human Being to a Super Human. Have you ever noticed why a nuclear reactor or high resolution telescope resembles Shape of the Shiva Lingam.

Shiva Lingam.
Nuclear Reactor

High Resolution Telescope

No way a Shiva lingam has the Shape of the Phallus but it does symbolize many significant aspects of creation.

It's so unfortunate that Modern science still has not given much importance to the Pineal gland when it's the most important part of your Brain. To cut the long story short, if your brain is the Hard Disk Drive of the computer then the pineal gland is the processor.  The more activated the Pineal gland, the more highly evolved you shall be.

In the present age we have a calcified pineal gland if we are capable activating our Pineal Gland then it can do wonders with our life. However due to pollution and consumption of junk foods we has calcified our pineal gland, that has arrested our capability to think beyond limits.

MAHARISHIS HAD THE ABILITY TO GO ON EITHER SIDE OF THE NARROW BAND OF 5 HUMAN SENSES, WITH A KING SIZED RESONATING PINEAL GLAND. THEY COULD TRANSCEND THE SENSES AND LIMITATION OF SPACE-TIME.

The pineal glands of our Maharishis was to the size of a lemon which is now a calcified atrophied and peanut sized shriveled organ. The pineal gland, a super conducting resonator has mystical powers. Once this third eye is developed it is far more powerful than any of your 5 human senses.

The solar wind at dawn, charging the earth’s magnetic field, stimulates the pineal gland. As per quantum laws we are essentially electrical beings existing in a state of resonance with the electromagnetic field of the earth.

The gland can be activated by activated by sunlight and also by sound resonance. It has the ability to control various biorhythms of the body. When the pineal gland does not receive sufficient sunlight it secretes Melatonin, which induces sleep, increases blood sugar levels leading to obesity, fears and anxiety. The pineal gland is a photosensitive organ and an important timekeeper of human body.

It's the center of navigation for migratory birds, the Pineal Gland produces PINOLINE, (6-methoxy-tetra-dydro-beta carboline, or 6-MeO-THBC). Pinoline also resonates with the very pulse of life 7.83 Hertz. This is why chanting of 'Aum' resonates the gland as Aum is the king mantra which resonates at 7.83 Hertz.

To activate the third eye of Shiva, or to perceive higher dimensions, the pineal gland ( soul ) and the pituitary glands ( body ) must vibrate in resonance to create a field. This is represented by Samudra manthan in Hindu mythology, where mount meru is used to churn the oceans for Amrit or Ambrosia in a to and fro movement , representing vibrations.. The drink of the Gods Soma is a divine LSD-- rather a million times more powerful DMT, it is not alcohol as we consider. A Maharishi with 12 strand NIL junk DNA can produce it naturally, by resonating his pineal gland with his DNA, and achieve telepathy and psychic teleportation.

Quote:     "The psychedelic journeys are accessed and experienced within the realms of the pineal gland. Serotonin has the same chemical structure as this hallucinogenic substance Soma. Serotonin is transformed into melatonin only in the pineal gland. Decline in melatonin is the trigger for the aging process, for Melatonin is the super-oxidant of nature. The hormone Melatonin, induces sleep, while Serotonin, keeps you happy and in a balanced mental state of mind. PROZAC raises serotonin. The pineal gland produces Pinoline, ( 6-methoxy-tetra-dydro-beta carboline, or 6-MeO-THBC ) . Pinoline also resonates with the very pulse of life 7.83 Hertz, the pulse the DNA uses to replicate, and which has been measured to be emitted from the brains and hands of all successful healers, regardless of belief or faith. OM king mantra is 7.843 hertz. Resonance can vibrate the pineal gland, to release Nuerotransmitter seratonin, melatonin, DMT, etc.  If you have a strong enough sense of consciousness you will taste a huge pituitary release in the back of your mouth and sinuses and throat, it is referred to as ambrosia ( amrit -- mental orgasm discharge ) .

This is a result of DMT production . DMT is the spirit molecule that bends space-time. Pineal DMT is the chemical messenger which links body and spirit. Dimethyltryptamine, a psychedelic tryptamine Pinoline enables the threshold levels of DMT to become active in the brain, but it requires an instant bungee jump induced adrenaline burst.  DMT with Pinoline increases brain activation multi fold. You cant observe the quantum world without your Pineal gland -- the other 5 senses have too narrow bandwidths. Quantum physics has showed the ancient Indian Maharishis were NOT mere dreamers of cosmic consciousness, where our bodies, our brain and its mind, as inextricably joined with other matter and the mega dipole of universe .

There is indeed a connection between consciousness and tangled state quantum phenomena Indian Vedic maharishis had the inherent ability to go on either side of the narrow band of five human sensesm. TpHEY COULD TRANSCEND THE SENSES AND LIMITATI ON OF SPACE-TIME. They firmly believed that the invisible below the quantum screen gives rise to the visible. At the time of death Seratonin and Melatonin in the brain breaks down to Dimethyltryptamine or DMT, C12 N2 H16, just after the oxygen stops circulating. This is the moment for the ultimate DMT trip. You see your whole past life as FRACTAL divine geometry. When you consume Soma, colours , sounds and numbers all show up as fractal geometry.

What you have learnt in the past is of no use to you. As you breathe in the oxygen enters your brain and causes an explosion of fractal colours. To the spiritual eastern mind, the story of SAMUDRA MANTHAN produces amazing acts of faith like the Kumbh Mela , which has been going on for 6000 years. Amrit reveals the fractal nature of consciousness. Amrit is NOT external, it is produced inside your head.  All you need to know is how to produce it by your own mind. 12 strand DNA which ancient Maharishis had, has now degraded to 2 strand 97% junk DNA. These 12 strand DNA maharishis with raised Kundalinis , can read akashik records , convert them from fractal geometry, for daily life use. The cobra on Lord Shiva 's shoulders shows raised Kundalini and open third eye. This self realization (of opening the third eye) , is the ultimate goal of consciousness. The timeless spiritual wisdom of the of the 7000 year old Vedas will roar to life after Dec 21st 2012- the veil of Maya or delusion over the third eye will be ripped asunder—as the first step towards upgrading the 2 strand 97% junk DNA to 12 strand nil junk DNA.." Unquote ---Capt Ajit Vadakayil

This is how our Rishis and Maharishis differentiated themselves from mere mortals to super human beings and possessed unique qualities by their penance and determination. However Rishis had a raised Kundalini and activated Pineal Gland but the Maharishis had elevated their DNA strand to 12 which could be lower in Rishis and the Saptarishis and Bramharishis had a 13 strand DNA which differentiated them from the Maharishis.

Powers of a Maharishi:

They had unlimited powers, but they never used it for any material gain as they were humble souls committed to the service of the Almighty. However many a legends about Maharishis its known that they have done only the Impossible, in fact impossibility was a minimal factor for them. These noble men with a raised Kundalini and an activate Pineal Gland could see things that's impossible for our eyes to see, they could read a persons Aura and know within seconds could gauge your personality, they had capacity to hear sound vibrations and frequency which a normal person cannot hear.

Here is an example. 'Aum' which is believed to be given to the seers by the Great Lord Shiva is the base of all mantra, any mantra begins with Aum, the reason is Aum is the basis of creation its a frequency that liberated at the time of BIG BANG. When you chant OM , the Hindu king mantra, the MMMMMM humming boosts the production of Nitric Oxide in the body. The earths heart beat of 7.83 hertz and the production of Nitric oxide was known to Maharishis 7000 years ago and documented. The frequency of Aum is 7.83 HTZ. A human ear can only hear frequencies in between 20 Htz to 20,000 Htz. The great seers could hear frequencies below 20 and above 20000 too. They could identify around 100,000 rays resent in light which a normal person can never see. Highly intellectual to the core, they were cable of communicating with the Cosmos and store Aakashik Records.

They were capable of doing Time travel and mind travel too as their body would stay in a meditative pose on earth but their mind would travel through Reiki all across the galaxies of the universe to seek the Supreme being. They were capable of many miraculous incidents like getting invisible, fly at a massive speed, capable of becoming transparent, pause time, burn his enemy just by looking at him, cure chronic illness, bring the dead back to life, with astral vision were capable of solving most complicated maths problems within minutes, they gave us SRI YANTRA the theory of Every thing. They could defy the law of gravity, as well get the 5 elements in their control, but they never did as as they well knew and never breached the protocols of Dharma. These Great Men had such high positive vibrations that merely visiting them could resolve lots of your problems.

They were well informed and knew the happenings of the past, present and future, by which they took necessary steps to prevent grave danger to the dharma or nation. They were so powerful that even at times even the gods never dared to challenge them.

What Maharishis did?

As by now, you are aware that our Rishis and Maharishis became super humans with a  raised Kundalini and an Activated King Size Pineal Gland.

Many great Maharishis were descendants of the Saptarishis which came from the Gotra System of marriage, Gotra means a particular clan related to each of the Saptarishi, and each clan of Saptarishis carried a specific gene and DNA, it was vital that this lineage should not be corrupted else their coming generation will loose their intellect skills. The priority was to preserve the 'Y' Chromosome, a piece of DNA with the genes that tell a baby to be a boy. It's passed from father to son. So, if you have a Y chromosome you know you got it from your father, and you know he got it from his father, all the way back in time.

Men have one X chromosome and one Y chromosome while women have two X chromosomes. DNA swapping happens between a pair of chromosomes, and since the Y chromosome doesn't have a pair, it can't swap DNA.

The Saptarishis of India had created the Gotra system to ensure that inbreeding  (which destroys the physical and mental faculties of their descendants)  does not occur. These descendants had to learn Vedas by heart and pass it on for future generations.  It was only in 5000 BC that the Vedas changed from oral tradition to written.

The gotra system was an attempt by Vedic Maharishis to protect the Y Chromosome from becoming extinct. It was NOT all about conveying the Vedas by oral route alone.

It was to sustain the human race, too.

The basic aim of a Maharishi was to surrender themselves to the almighty and preserve dharma, they spent their life composing the Vedas and Upanishads. What a crown and specter means to an annointed king in the West, in our Sanatana Dharma Vedas and Upanishads meant every thing for its followers.

These Maharishis performed severe penance and meditation for centuries and millenniums to seek knowledge from the Cosmos composed the great Vedas which contained innumerable Sanskrit Verses and later this Vedas got bifurcated into 4 different sections vis. the RIG, SAM, YAJUR & ATHARVA and later came with Upanishads. The Upanishads basically means to sit and discuss, it is upanishads where the great Vedas were discussed in details between to or more Rishis of great calibre and came with a precise clear understanding of the verses derived from Vedas. If vedas was milk then upanishads was Butter.

            Process of Meditation:

First of all to be a Maharishi is not an easy task at all, let be the fact that it's too difficult to be Rishi in the first place. Not only that one must be an Intellectual of the highest order, the person deciding to be one had to pass various tests to be qualified for the status of a Rishi for which it was essential for him to learn the art of meditation under an able 'GURU' who would teach him the art of meditation. Now with the ever growing fame of Yoga the world is aware of the power of meditation.

The word GURU means the one who removes Darkness and enlightens, the Guru's prime importance was to remove all doubts of ignorance in his pupils known as Shishya, be pious and gave an equal importance to all his disciples.

Ancient Gurukul System

With the Guru Shishya form of education system produced great genius legends our nation is proud of, the Shishya spent his entire childhood till youth at the Ashram of Guru where he attained basic necessary education involving various subjects like Maths, Science, Politics, Economics, Martial arts etc. and when his education was complete Guru Identified what was best for his pupil, the pupil masters these knowledge from his Guru in return the Shishya gives a Guru Dakshina to his Guru as a gratitude, Dakshina means reward which can either be in cash or kind. The Guru never asked though for being a noble soul he is and accept what ever his Shishya gave. This period of the Shishya's life is known as 'Bramhachari'.

After taking blessing from his Guru, he returns back to his parents and helps his family with their daily life, as per his expertise he learned from his Gurukul he takes up his carrier as tradesman, merchant or a scholar, astrologer, farmer, artist, architect, minister or king etc. During this life time he gets married procreate and take care of his old parents and his wife. This period of his life is called 'Grihasta'

When his children becomes big enough to care of him and his wife he retires from worldly pleasures and devotes his life in dedication to God, this is pay back time for him to restore what he took back from nature for his survival during his Grihasta period. This period is known as 'Sanyasa'. Here he can have a choice to leave his family and go to the forest become a sage and meditate or live happily with his grand children.

If he decides to be a sage then he will again search for an Able Guru who is a Rishi of great caliber who will teach him to be Rishi, and this is where his Journey to enlightenment starts, though one can do it during the period of Sanyasa, however many of the Rishis who were descendants of Maharishis started it right from their childhood itself as they belonged to the Brahmin Varna and not cast whose only duty towards society was to Recite and Master Vedas and Upanishads, worship deity in temples & perform holy rituals.

In Sanatana Dharma there was only Varna and not cast. THE CASTE SYSTEM IN INDIA WAS POISON INJECTED BY THE IMMORTAL WHITE CHRISTIAN INVADER TO DIVIDE AND RULE , AND TO CONVERT FRUSTRATED LOW CASTES INTO CHRISTIANITY.

SANATANA means " that which holds eternal Vedic knowledge"-- encompassing everything from microcosm to macrocosm.  Dharma leads to eternal bliss, both in this world and the next. It is your sole and soul companion after death.

It is most difficult to define Dharma. Dharma has been explained to be that which helps the upliftment of living beings. Therefore, that which ensures the welfare of living beings is surely Dharma. The learned rishis have declared that that which sustains is Dharma.-- Bhishma to Yuddhistra Mahabharata

Prithivim dharmana dhritam
The world is upheld by dharma- Atharva Veda

Dharma sustains the society.  Dharma maintains the social order.  Dharma ensures well being and progress of humanity.  Dharma is surely that which fulfills these objectives-  Lord Krishna To Arjuna, Mahabharata
Sanskara is a process by which good qualities are generated and bad qualities are removed in an individual. Thus, when knowledge of rules of Dharma and of Dharma abiding nature is ingrained in the mind of an individual, it acts as antigen against the six enemies inherent in him and always makes him conform to dharma. That is why 'Dharma' is given the pride of place by our ancestors- Adi Shankaracharya Vedanta Sutra -2000 BC
Four qualities that keep a person the path of dharma are purity, compassion, austerity and truth- Bhagawad Purana.

The 4 Vedas along with the 108 Upanishads are the most sacred books of India. Without knowing the Vedas one cannot comprehend the inner soul and heights of Indian glory.  Sanatana Dharma is run by the laws of Dharma.

Untouchability and caste-based discrimination were unknown during the Varnashrama days. No one was born high and no one low. You became what you are with your karma.

Megasthenes, the great Greek historian has recorded two millenniums ago  that there were four castes in Hindus and a Hindu of any caste may become a Sophist (Brahmin).

Caste hierarchy and privileges based on caste had no sanction in Hinduism. They are the direct result of the immoral white Christian invader and their vested historians.

He as a shudra became a Maharishi and wrote some of the hymns of Rig-Veda (Rig., X. 30-40). In the Chandogyopanishad we can read that Jabala, also known as Satya Kama, had no gotra, or family name whatever (Chan. Upa., IV. 4).  Though born of low parents, Jabala founded a School of the Yajur Veda.

MANU SMRITI:

Janmanaa Jaayate Shudrah Sanskaraat Dwija Ucchate
Vedapaathi Bhavet Viprah  Brahma janaati Brahmanah

“By birth all are Shudras only.  By actions men become Dwija (twice-born). By reading the Vedas one becomes Vipra and becomes Brahman by gaining the knowledge of God.”
  Coming back,

Under the guidance of his new Guru, he has to devote all his time in remembrance to the almighty, for this he has to shed his Ego completely, shed pride and arrogance, enemity and hatred to any one. He must also learn to be pious and gentle and learn the art of forgive and forget. He gets prepared for the spiritual journey of becoming a Rishi, for which first he had to go under sever penance to prove that he has left the material world behind, he has no carvings for money, jewels or any worldly matters at all, and has no bonding for his family or any beloved member of his family, he must shun the desire of wearing expensive garment and permanently adapts to wear saffron colored cloth. The saffron colour resembles the colour of radiance, its the same colour when the Sun is at the Horizon, should be Barefooted or wear a Khadau (Wooden Slippers), Instead of Gold necklace which he wore during his Grihasta period shall only wear Rudraksha Mala for the rest of his life. He has to wear it on his neck, shoulder and on his Hair lock.

Wearing Rudraksha Mala has many great health benefits, one of those is it regulates your Blood circulation with great effect and improves your concentration as well it helps one to be king and sober. As he is on a spiritual path he should keep his Body Mind and Spirit clean for which he must bath 3 times a day and use Bhasmam or Vibhooti which is a holly white ash on his body also he can use Kum Kum (Vermeleon) or Sandalwood past on his body. He has to use this on his Forehead, Arms, Chest, elbow and finally on his stomach. Using the Holly ash, Sandalwood paste or Vermileon has many mental and physical benefits as the Holly Ash or Vibhooti especially help the immunity system and the more they apply it to their body it  helps them to meditate in severe weather conditions. It's a known fact that a sadhu fully covered with vibhooti is easily meditating in the Himalayas where the temperature is in between -2 to -50 degrees C. Sandalwood paste and Kum Kum has a unique feature of absorbing subtle energies of the cosmos and pass in in your body as a result you become attentive and improves your concentration levels.

Copper Bowl: The Copper Bowl was the only worldly possession they had. They filled this bowl with river water as live water hold memory, as through this water they blessed their disciples or cursed any one who disturbed them during their meditation. They used this water as a main part of their meditation. As well water from the copper bowl would energize their immunity system required for meditation.

The type of mark on the forehead determines whether the rishi is a Shivite (Lord Shiva clan) or a Vaishnava (Lord Vishnu Clan). If a rishi had three horizontal lines on his fore head then he is a Shivite and a 'U' shaped symbol represented Vaishnava. However both the rishis contributed without any partiality for the sake of Dharma, composed Vedas and Upanishads.

Shivite.

Vaishnava.

Smearing the Vibhooti in in such fashion has to do with resonance.  These three Horizontal lines also seen on Lord Shiva's forehead represents the Satva, Rajas and Tamas characteristics of Universe, and the 'U' Symbol seen on Lord Vishnu's forehead actually resembles the fork of resonance.

The resonance factor mattered a lot to the Rishis and Maharishis very much. As when the meditation is done and in remembrance to the almighty, Its only the mind that plays the vital role as the first priority was to get the mind in tune to the vibrations of the Universe, in order to open the channel and create a seamless link with the Universe for which it's necessary to create a vibration in your body to let the Cosmos know of your presence and this can only happen if one has a strong mind with an activated king Size pineal Gland, with it the mind resonated and that's his exposure to the world of Universe.

Why Connect with the Universe?

As we all know that our planet, the Solar System and the Galaxy is a part of Universe, likewise in our universe there are millions and billions of Galaxies, yet till date no one has yet figured out the limitations of the Universe, no one and even modern science has been able to figured out the beginning or its end, and it's only the Maharishis and let me repeat only the Maharishis who had the capability to explore the Universe and none even the modern science ever came close to them.

Our nation had plenty of Maharishis, many i have not even mentioned in the blog but still they have not been capable to estimate the beginning or end of the Universe or its shape. Although they have given life period of Brahma but not of the Universe. All knew that this is the continuous vicious circle of creation, preservation and destruction  of Universe but even still it was way beyond their limits to ascertain when it began or when it shall end and it's Infinity.

The Great Maharishis knew well that this play of Infinity is performed by the Para Bramham (Supreme Being), it always was their greatest desire to know the Para Bramham for which these great Super Humans with raised Kundalini and an activated Pineal Gland took the challenge and performed extreme penance, they went to the Himalayas amongst the peaks beneath the glaciers, or in the deep forest in a cave, meditated in various meditative poses either sitting on the ground in a Padmasana pose beneath a tiger or deer skin, or standing on one feet with their hands help upright folded. Meditating for years, for centuries and even millenniums they rarely ate any thing at time surviving on water or dried leaves they focused themselves for the Supreme Being.

As time passed by, and their deep meditation continues the rishi gain more power and liberated a powerful vibration through his mind which gets in sync with the vibrations of the cosmos. Sensing their dedication for the urge to know the Para Bramham he communicates he opens the channel of communication with the rishi, by which he listens to the Dev Vani (divine words from the god) which was communicated in Sanskrit,

The rishis gracefully heard those verses and memorized them thoroughly. After which the Maharishi comes back to their Ashram and communicated what they heard to their disciples. These infinite verses were so voluminous that if we take the largest library in the world and multiply it by a 100 or 1000 still it will remain a miniscule figure compared with each section of Veda compilation. It might sound impossible for the modern age to believe it but that was the caliber our great Rishis and Maharishi's possessed they has a super excellent memory.

How on the earth is this possible, well lets talk about technology we are living in a wireless world, our mobile phones are working on Android technology where we can do any thing, from making calls to watch movies. It has become a multi operating system and has made our life easier. With the 3G or 4G spectrum a wireless technology we can download movies which are huge files about 1 GB and more in our mobile. When you surf and download a movie the server in a remote location is traces and send the movie file via the satellite to your mobile. Your mobile phone has an antenna that gets in tune with the satellite for a proper transmission, when that connection is established you can download as many files as you want.
These files get saved in the  data card. Likewise in the same manner, you can save many books in PDF format you can have a 100 or 1000 as as many books you want it gets saved in your data card now lets compare it, the Mobile phone is the body and those Meditative Poses with an Activated Pineal Gland was working like an antenna to get in tune with the Universal vibrations. When they chanted OM or any other mantra and repeated those chants for many years they were trying to get in tune to the cosmic vibrations. And when this got in sync they heard the divine voices of the Para Bramham. The Pineal Gland received it and later stored it in the brain. Brain was like a Hard disk drive where as the Pineal Gland worked as a processor.

Vedas and Upanishads were passed orally from the Guru to his Disciples and the trend continued till around 7000 BC when the Maharishis realized that their DNA have begun to degrade and it shall not be possible for the future generation to memorize those verses the way they did, hence a Super Genius Maharishi Panini did penance for which he was blessed from the Para Bramham with Alphabets for the divine language.

Though the great Maharishis composed these infinite verses which was not only divine but precise with any variations, never gave credit to themselves in-spite of their painstaking efforts to seek it for they knew that its not their creativity, as all they did was hear those verses from the cosmos and Memorize it. This is why the Vedas were known as "Apurusheya Grantha" meaning Authoress texts.

Though Maharishis played a main role in composing invaluable Vedas, they were also very instrumental in creating the history of civilization. They worked unconditionally for the sake of world's development and whenever the nation was struck with calamity or attack from the demons or evil men they came to the rescue the nation. Here are some brief story of the legendary works of our Maharishis:

Maharishi Markandeya: Markandeya Maharishi was born in Kreta (Satya) yuga, he was blessed by Lord Shiva to be immortal this Maharishi composed the Mrutyunjaya Mantra second only to the Great Gayatri Mantra. Chanting of Mrutyunjaya Mantra shall create a protective shield around you. He is the only Maharishi to have witnessed the Cosmic Deluge.

Maharishi Agastya:  One of the greatest Maharishi of all times, Maharishi is the first of the Siddhars to have mastered metallurgy. Once he helped the devas to kill the demons who attacked them in the day and hid beneath the Oceans at night for which he drank the whole ocean. The electric battery which we know now was discovered by him long long back. A great devotee of Lord Shiva Maharishi Agastya is said to be the father of Tamil Language.

Maharishi Patanjali: was the founder of Yoga. He gave Yoga sutras to the world. He was a great grammarian and his Mahabhashya or Great Commentary on Panini's grammar (the first great grammar written for any language) was magisterial. It is still read and acknowledged today. But the Mahabhashya was a lot more than just a commentary. The PataƱjali who wrote it took Panini's work a great deal further. He redefined the rules of Sanskrit grammar. He greatly enlarged its vocabulary.

Maharishi Kanad: Maharshi Kanad, who is considered as the First Nuclear Scientist of the world. In Darshan-Grantha, one can find a well written description of Kanad’s concept of Atoms. It was Kanad, who first opined that elements are formed mainly because of electrons arranged in a specific and synchronized manner. The world might recognize John Dalton as the father of atomic theory, but we definitely can’t take anything away from Maharishi Kanad.

Maharishi Shusruta: Son of Bramharshi Vishwa Mitra, Sushruta Maharshi was one of the main pillars of Ayurveda, he gave prominence to surgery, its indeed surprising to know that plastic surgery was first done in India. Many a tools used by Shusruta is copied by Modern Medical science. His student Maharishi Charaka a person from Chandala Caste was another pillar of Ayurveda who gave more importance to Medicines extracted from plants and herbs. Their volumes of texts are used even today by Ayurvedic Practitioners in India.

Maharishi Vyasa: He is the author of the longest epic ever composed in the World called the 'Mahabharat', which is also known as the 5th Veda. If you have read Mahabharat you shall understand what it means. It's impossible for any one to write such an epic that spans many a characters interwoven in it. The Maharishis is also credited for documenting the verses of Vedas for which he was titles Vedvyasa.

Maharishi Manuhe wrote the great Manu Smriti, Maharishi Manu was the first law maker with his Smriti writen in 100000 verses never spoke of harsh laws or punishment but about how to live in peace and co existence. His Law's have been widely misunderstood by modern age and Immoral British for divide and rule has injected a lot of poison in this text to ridicule Hinduism.

Maharishi Watsa: This will be surprising to you but it's Maharishi Wasta who composed the Kama  Shastra and not Vatsayana as the modern World knows it. The Kama Shastra is not only about making love or the sex positions as you imagine, but also it deals with Family management.

Maharishi Kapila:   The founder of Sankya Philosophy, to know more about it please click on the link SANKHYA PHILOSOPHY OF HINDUISM , EPISTEMOLOGY OF SANATANA DHARMA.

Maharishi Valmiki: Like i mentioned earlier he was not born to any gotra, or from any royal family or that or a noble one, but who was he, Valmiki was born to a low cast and was raised as a robber and was known as Ratnakara.

One day, the great sage Narada, while passing through the jungle, was attacked by Ratnakara. As Narada played his Veena and sang praises of the Lord, he saw a transformation coming over Ratnakara. Then, he asked Ratnakara whether the family, for whom he was robbing others, will partake in his sins also. Ratnakara went to ask the same question to his family and on being refused by all his family members, he went back to sage Narada. Narada taught him the sacred name of 'Rama' and asked him to sit in meditation, chanting the name of Rama, till the time Narada came back.

Ratnakara followed the instructions and kept sitting in a meditative posture for years, during which his body got completely covered by an anthill. At last, Narada came to see him and removed all the anthills from his body. Then, he told Ratnakara that his tapasya
(meditation) paid off and the God was pleased with him. Ratnakara was bestowed with the honor of a Brahmarshi and given the name of Valmiki, since he was reborn from the Valmika (the ant-hill). Sage Valmiki founded his ashram at the banks of River Ganga.

Receiving Lord Rama
One day, Valmiki had the fortuity of receiving Lord Rama, His wife Sita and brother Lakshman at his ashram. On Valmiki's suggestion, Lord Rama built his hut on Chitrakuta hill, near the ashram.

Writing Ramayana
Narada visited Maharishi Valmiki in his ashram once and there, he narrated the story of Lord Rama. Thereafter he received a vision from Brahma in which the Lord instructed him to write Ramayana in slokas, which the sage readily followed.

And finally the best of the legends is that of Bramharshi Vishwamitra. As there is plenty of them for their great Contribition to mankind like Maharishi Jamadagni, Shukracharya, Parshurama, Chavana who gave Chavan prash, health tonic to improve immunity system, Maharishi Kanva etc and many more but Vishwamitra was a legend of all. Here is his story in brief.

The story of Vishwamitra

Viswhamitra was known as Kaushika. Kaushika was a brave and valiant king. Kaushika had a huge kingdom. Once as Kaushika was traveling from one place to another, he passed through a dense forest. He was traveling with a part of his huge army. When Kaushika came to the centre of the forest, he saw a beautiful hermitage there which belonged to Maharishi Vashista. Kaushika met the great sage inside the ashrama and bowed to him. 'Sir! I was passing from a city in my kingdom to another, when I saw your hermitage. I just came to pay my respects to you sir!'

Sage Vasishta smiled, 'Your majesty! Please accept my hospitality and have your lunch here!'

Kaushika hurriedly shook his head. It was after all a small hermitage. There was no way, they could feed an entire army. 'Sir! We are in a hurry so Kindly excuse us now.' Sage Vasishta said, 'There is a river nearby! Please ask your men to clean themselves and come for lunch. By the time i will arrange a sumptous meal'

As you wish sir!' Kaushika was a little curious now. He went back outside. He told his men that they would be having their lunch here. When the cooks got ready. Much to surprise of the king and his men, they had a lovely lunch that day. It was wholesome and sufficient for the entire army. Kaushika was now more curious. He asked his men to take rest and ran back to the sage. 'Sir! I am sorry to be asking this question. But how were you able to feed our entire army?..' The king asked the sage. The sage smiled, 'I have a cow with me your majesty her name is Nandini who is the daughter of the Devine Cow Kamadhenu, who came out during the churning of the ocean. Indra, the Lord of the Heavens presented Nandini to me. Nandhini can provide as much food as is necessary sir! There is no end to how much she can provide. 'Can I see the cow, sir?' Kaushika whispered in awe. The sage nodded and took the king to the back of his ashrama. There Kaushika saw a beautiful cow calmly grazing. There was a powerful aura around the cow.' Looking at the cow the sage lovingly and spoke, 'She is like my daughter to me. All of us in the hermitage love her and worship her.'

Kaushika walked out of the ashrama. Head bowed he went towards his horse. Such a cow is meant to be with a king. Why with this cow, I can feed my army anytime any place and there would be no problem. If I take it with me to my palace, every single person in my kingdom would benefit from this. The sage should understand and gift this cow to me. As a king I deserve to have the cow with me.Such ran the kings thoughts as he neared his horse. Saying this Kaushika again went back into the ashrama and expressed his willingness to have the cow for himself.

Sage Vasishta looked at the king with anger and slowly calmed himself, 'You just look at the cow and look at it like a source of food. Do you know what she means to me and to

my family members. She is part of my family King Kaushika! I cannot just hand it over to you.She will not like it. 'No your majesty! I cannot give you this! Name your price! I am a king.I can give you whatever price you want for the cow.' Vasishta laughed, 'Seriously your majesty! You cannot expect me to take your offer seriously. What riches can you offer me in return of a cow, which already offers me everything?' He spoke to the king contemptuously. Kaushika angrily looked at the sage and said, 'Fine! If you will not give the cow to me.I am going to take the cow. Who says I need your permission for it.' Sage Vasishta said quietly, 'Do what you want, Kaushika! I am not giving the cow to you.' Kaushika stomped out of the hermitage angrily..He went outside and called his general, 'Get your men ready for battle!' 'Vasishta! Give me the cow or face my attack. Now!'

Sage Vasishta came outside and looked at huge army standing before the hermitage and smiled. Sage Vasisha closed his eyes and muttered a mantra. The king was about to order his men to attack, when he stopped cold. As the sage finished talking and opened his eyes, a huge and fierce army carrying all types of weapons appeared before the ashrama, to protect it! The king faltered for a minute. The sage had the power to create such a huge army, by the mere power of words! Probably it was best not to ruffle a man like that. However the king had already given the command. He could not go back on his word.

No matter what the king tried, the warriors of Sage Vasishta were superior in strength and strategy. Needless to say that Kaushika's entire army was routed by the attack! Kaushika was captured by the army of the Sage Vasishta. They tied up the King and dragged him before the Sage Vasishta. Kaushika was staring angrily at Sage Vasishta. A mere sage, with no riches or possessions of any kind had defeated him.one of the greatest warriors in the world. All with what? The power of the meditation was that powerful? All his fighting skills were useless and unnecessary.

Sage Vasishta looked at the king and spoke, 'Kaushika! You behaved out of arrogance.. But I think you acted out of ignorance. For this I forgive you. Take your remaining army and leave, never ever fight with the power of the Brahman..The powers of meditation are much more stronger that brute force and strength.Always remember that. Now GO! Kaushika listened to the words of the sage. Soon after he realized that he no longer wished to be a king. A king was someone who had to bow to the might of a sage. A sage. The power of penance, that was what he wished, he wanted to be the most powerful of them all.He bowed to Sage Vasishta and walked away from there.

He immediately gave up all the rights to his kingdom and walked away. He immersed himself in meditation and cared for nothing else in the world. His whole body burnt with only one passion – he had to become a better sage than Vasishta. Kaushika started his penance and kept to it very steadfast. In fact he concentrated so much on the power of the Brahman that he was able to perform his meditation and penance effortlessly. He just shrugged off all physical challenges. High up in the heavens, Indra was getting worried with Kaushika's penance. Kaushika was becoming more and more powerful and there was nothing which seemed to stop him. If this went on Kaushika would become even more powerful than him. Indra realized that something had to be done to stop Kaushika. But failed in his attempt as he sent Menaka and Rambha two celestial Beaties from heavens to break his meditation. However they succeeded, but later were cursed by Vishwamitra and he further went on with his meditation and was unstoppable by Indra.

Trishanku was the king of the Ishkawaku dynasty. Trishanku was extremely good looking and handsome. However as he was learning from his teachers about the facts of life and death, he learnt that after death every person had to shed his body and his soul would alone go to heaven. But this worried Trishaku. I will not be able to go to heavens in my good looking body? That cannot be good, there has to be a way by which I can go to heaven in my own body. As Trishaku met many sages with his querry he only got denial from them for they advised that only your soul can reach heaven based on your karma and it's impossible to reach there without leaving your body.

Atlast he met Mahrishi Vashista who refused him later he went to his hundred sons and asked them to help him, frustrated with Trishanku one of his son cusred him "You dare come to us! For this I curse you. You are so proud of your body are you not? You will not have a good looking body hence forth. You will look ugly and deformed and nobody would even want to look at you'. Stumbling and fumbling Trishanku walked in the dense forests. As he walked on and on he reached the ashrama of Kaushika.

As Kaushika was about to begin his morning prayers, he saw a hideously ugly looking man come and look at him. However Kaushika never saw any of that. Kaushika made sure Trishanku ate well and rested well. Only after this he asked the reason why Trishanku had come here. Trishanku spoke in broken words, 'You know how handsome and good looking I was, Sage Vasishta and his sons took all that away from me. All for what?' He said angrily, 'All because I wanted to go to heaven in my own body.' Trishanku spoke with blood shot eyes, 'I think it can be done. But those people refused to even listen to me. Vasishta's sons even cursed me and took away my good looks.' Trishanku was almost reduced to tears as he spoke with trembling tones.

Kaushika thought what the king told him and spoke quietly, 'I can make sure that I send you to heaven in your own form, Trishanku. But listen to me. I can also change you to your previous good looking form. If I do that, I would lose quiet a lot of my penance energy. I doubt whether I would be able to send you to heavens with the remaining energy I have. What do you wish I do?' Kaushika asked Trishanku. Trishanku thought about the jeering faces of the sons of Sage Vasishta. He knew how they would feel when he went up to heavens in his own form. Their face would be something priceless to look at. He looked at Kaushika. 'Send me to heavens in the same form that I am right now..' Kaushika consoled 'Don't worry! I will make all arrangements for your yagna. Take rest and take good care of yourself.' Saying this Kaushika walked away from there.

There was another reason Kaushika wanted to perform the yagna, which he did not tell Trishanku..Sage Vasishta had told Trishanku that nobody could be sent to heavens in their own body. To do something that even the great Sage Vasishta cannot do, would be something like a crowning achievement for him. Kaushika was gleefully thinking as he set about making his preparations for the yagna.

Kaushika started the yagna, he said the mantras and used his powers and made sure Trishanku raised up to the heavens in his own form. Trishanku and everyone else was amazed to find that he was actually rising to the heavens in his own form! Trishanku was about to enter the heavens in his form, when Indra, the Lord of the Heavens, came and saw an impossible thing.. A man was coming inside his kingdom in his own form! Indra was stupefied with such a thing that had never ever happened!

Indra stared and looked at Trishanku. He looked down at the earth and saw Kaushika's yagna. He understood that Trishanku was being sent up by the powers of Kaushika's own penance powers. Indra already knew that it was impossible to fight Kaushika and defeat him. But he could however deal with Trishanku. Once Trishanku came to heavens, he was in Indra's realm. Indra caught hold of Trishanku's neck and angrily told him, 'You silly man! You think you can break the law of nature! No man can ever come up to the heavens in their own form.

Holding Trishanku suspended in midair, Kaushika using the remaining powers of his meditation, set about creating. He created his own world, and a heavens there, where Trishanku could go and reside. (This is what a Maharishi can do if he has immense power) Now Indra was scared, Kaushika had surpassed him! Kaushika was now actually displaying the powers of Brahma, the Creator God which were much greater than Indra's own power. Kaushika was actually creating a parallel universe, with another Indra. Indra shivered and wondered what to do. He along with Brahma went to see Kaushika, 'Kaushika! Your powers are great! You have shown the control you have over the Brahman, but you are changing the laws of nature. That should not be done.' However Kaushika was past caring. He continued creating another heaven for Trishanku to live in. Brahma and Indra desperately talked with Kaushika asking him to drop the idea and keep the balance of nature.

Finally after a lot of requesting, Kaushika accepted. But he told Indra and Brahma, 'The world I have created for Trishanku would be for him and he can stay there only. That will be his heaven. The only concession I can give Indra is that Trishanku would only rule his own heaven, he would not be able to rule outside his heaven, on the earth or anywhere else.' Indra said feeling a little disgruntled, 'Please. the only way to make sure that he rules only within his sphere, is to keep him upside down in the same form in which he was suspended by you.'

Kaushika realized that it was the only way to keep the balance of nature and reluctantly agreed to the condition. Thus Kaushika was able to create an alternate universe for his friend Trishanku, when he was refused the permission to go to heavens in his body form. However after Kaushika had created the alternate universe for Trishanku he found that he had again depleted all his powers. He however had no regrets this time. He set about continuing his meditation and penance again. He gained much of his penance powers. Lord Brahma came and called him as 'Rajarishi'!

However that did not satisfy Kaushika. He again started his meditation and this time Lord Brahma came and conferred the title of 'Maharishi' on him. However Kaushika was still not satisfied. He performed some more meditation and penance and then went to ashrama of Sage Vasishta. Sage Vasishta looked at Kaushika and said, 'Kaushika! I do not think you are great because of your powers. You are nothing more than a scoundrel..a scoundrel who wanted to steal my Nandini.'

Kaushika felt a change come over him when he heard the words of Sage Vasishta. He did not even react, not did he get angry. He was thinking about his silly little battle for Nandini. It all seemed so irrelevant now. He actually laughed. Kaushika at last felt completely in control of himself. Sage Vasishta now looked at Kaushika with respect, 'Now you are totally in control of yourself, Kaushika! You are a Brahmarishi! Someone whom I would be proud to call my friend!'

Kaushika smiled. He knew that he and Sage Vasishta had now become best friends. It was at this time that Lord Brahma appeared there. 'Kaushika, you have been a good friend and you have helped all the people who have come to you.For this henceforth you will be called as 'Vishwamitra' – the friend of the universe. You are Brahmarishi Vishwamitra henceforth.' Brahmarishi Vishwamitra smiled as he felt waves of peace pass through him.

This is are the legends of our great nations who produced great legends, if Mharishis were the guides who motivated civilizations so were the emperors and Kings who did their duty to the fullest. You might be wondering that why is it that now there are no Maharishis in the Modern age, to be frank after Adi Shankaracharya born in between 2000 to 2200 B.C no one has had 12 strand DNA with and activated Pineal Gland to have the wonders of Maharishi.

Many Maharishis were born in the Satya Yuga (Golden Age) and it kept decreasing in Treata Yuga  (Silver age) and further in Dwarpa Yuga (Bronze Age) to almost Nil in Kali Yuga (Iron Age). This clearly signifies as the age progressed their DNA kept reducing from 12 strand Nil junk DNA to a 2 strand 97% junk DNA in the Kali Yuga, which is one reason why it shall be a very difficult or close to impossible task for us to be of their caliber.
